When Andy got home, I told him the good news by showing him the test and giving him a package of newborn WSU baby booties. Later that night, we went to dinner at the Red Door in Moscow, Idaho. The food was fantastic and it was a great place to spend the evening.
The next morning, I took another test just to be sure that I hadn't gotten a false positive, but yet again it was positive. Now that I know I'm pregnant, I'm really starting to feel it. I'm so tired, yet I have trouble sleeping. I have what feel like hot flashes and am cold when I should be warm and hot when I should be cold. Also, I have to go to the bathroom all the time - apparently your hormones cause you to feel this way in the first trimester. I don't mind all of this, though, as all of these are signs that baby's doing good in there!
Anyway, today I scheduled my first doctor's appointment. They said that if you know you are pregnant, they don't need to see you until you are 8-10 weeks along, so the first appointment is set for November 26, which is the Monday after Thanksgiving.
We've decided not to tell anyone at this point, and this is maybe the hardest thing for me because I just want to tell everyone. But I also don't want this to not work out and have to tell everyone that news either, so for now it's our little secret!
